Where Is the Jewelry Table in Graveyard Keeper 2 — Mastery Kits, Talismans and Zombie Collars

How to unlock the Jewelry Table with Delicate Work, where to build it, and which Mastery kits, talismans and Zombie Collars it crafts.

Updated · version 1.006

Quick answer

The Jewelry Table is unlocked by Delicate Work and built in the writing room beneath your house, next to the Writing Desk. It is not a tower-lab, yard or church workstation.

Its most important products are not decorative jewelry. It crafts Butcher's/Surgeon's Kits, Alchemist's Kits, Book Writing talismans, all three Zombie Collar tiers and later Fine Jewelry. These toolbar items can provide the extra Mastery that unlocks difficult autopsy, alchemy and writing recipes.

Why is the Jewelry Table easy to miss?

The game may expose a recipe that clearly sounds “jewelry-related,” yet give very little indication of where the actual table belongs.

Players naturally search:

  • the yard;
  • smithing areas;
  • the tower laboratory;
  • the church;
  • the vineyard.

The answer is the writing room under the house.

It uses the same general underground production space as the Writing Desk.

If the technology is already unlocked, go through the hatch beneath your home and use that room's building interface.

Which technology unlocks it?

You need Delicate Work.

It follows writing-related progression and currently costs:

  • 10 red tech points;
  • 10 green;
  • 15 blue.

If Delicate Work is still hidden or unavailable, continue through Writing Supplies and the connected technology path.

This is another reason searching only the Smithing tree can be misleading: the workstation supports several different Mastery branches.

What does it cost to build?

The writing-room version uses materials including:

If Glass is not yet a stable resource, you need to continue your early furnace/sand progression first.

If metal progression is the blocker, see Why Can't I Craft Bronze Detail? and How to Get Iron.

Why the Jewelry Table matters

Its name undersells what the workstation actually does.

Yes, it eventually produces valuable jewelry.

But for progression it is more important as a source of additional equipment.

Many items crafted here sit on the toolbar and add Mastery to a branch.

This is often the missing answer to:

“How am I supposed to reach this much Anatomy or Book Writing Mastery?”

The Jewelry Table is effectively a hidden accelerator for the wider Mastery system.

See Mastery Explained.

Butcher's Kit and Surgeon's Kit

The surgical equipment line boosts Anatomy-related work.

The progression includes:

These become valuable when autopsies start asking for more than a weak starting setup can safely handle.

If you repeatedly fail while trying to remove a Skull, Brain or another important organ, the solution is often more Mastery rather than repeated risky surgery.

That is particularly important for a corpse you want to:

  • bury at high quality;
  • resurrect;
  • improve later through organ systems.

See Red and White Skulls Explained.

Alchemist's Kits

A separate equipment line also contributes to Anatomy progression:

Both surgery and alchemy sit under the broader Anatomy Mastery family, but their equipment lines open at different stages.

Even the first Starter Alchemist's Kit needs materials such as Polished Bronze and Glass.

If an advanced alchemy or corpse recipe is blocked by Mastery, check equipment before spending another week waiting for Faith.

Talismans for Book Writing

The Jewelry Table also produces:

These support Book Writing Mastery.

That matters for:

  • prayers;
  • Science Kits;
  • advanced writing;
  • Printing Press recipes.

If the Writing Desk shows a recipe but your Mastery is too low, a talisman can be much faster than grinding several Inspiration levels.

Zombie Collars

All major zombie collar tiers are also made here.

Bronze Zombie Collar

For corpses within the early red-skull limit.

Golden Zombie Collar

Supports more heavily red-skull bodies.

Steel Zombie Collar

A late version with a much higher ceiling.

There is an important progression trap here: Reanimation can unlock a collar recipe, but you still have nowhere to craft replacement collars until the Jewelry Table exists.

The Resurrection Lab gives you a small starting supply, so the problem may not become obvious until those free collars are gone.

See How to Resurrect a Zombie.

Why can't I craft a Bronze Collar even after unlocking Reanimation?

Recipe access and workstation access are separate.

Check:

  1. Reanimation is unlocked;

  2. Delicate Work is unlocked;

  3. the Jewelry Table is built;

  4. your Smithing Mastery meets the recipe;

  5. you have the materials and Faith.

Zombie Collars also require Blue Crystals and Faith. A Bronze Ingot alone is not enough.

The Jewelry Table uses Smithing Mastery

This is another unintuitive detail.

The table creates equipment for multiple different Mastery branches, but many of its crafting checks use Smithing.

That creates situations like:

“I need an Alchemist's Kit to raise Anatomy, but I cannot make the kit because my Smithing is too low.”

That is intended.

Improve your smithing setup first, then craft the equipment that raises another branch.

Jewelry-table equipment vs normal tools

Do not confuse these kits and talismans with Axe, Pickaxe, Hammer or the general Bronze Tools item.

Normal tools come from their own production stations and already contribute Mastery.

Jewelry Table products give you additional toolbar equipment that can stack with your ordinary tools.

That stacking is why a high Mastery total can jump dramatically once the equipment system opens.

Fine Jewelry and money

Later, the Jewelry Table also becomes a commercial workstation.

It can produce things such as:

Fine Jewelry requires very high Smithing Mastery and rare materials such as a Gem.

This is not really an early money strategy. It is more of a later production chain.

For normal economy progression, see How to Make Money.

Where do Gems come from?

Gems are connected to mining progression.

They can appear from the appropriate mining systems when the relevant perks are active, and a suitable trader can also supply them.

Once zombie resource gathering is available, the whole mining chain becomes easier to maintain.

See How to Unlock Zombie Gathering.

Why is a recipe missing from my Jewelry Table?

Check the technology for that specific item.

Delicate Work gives you the workstation and core progression, but higher:

  • collar tiers;
  • kits;
  • talismans;
  • jewelry;

have their own requirements.

Building the table does not immediately reveal every possible recipe.

Can zombies automate the Jewelry Table?

As a production workstation, it can participate in developed zombie automation where the game allows a worker.

High-level recipes can have serious Smithing requirements, so worker Mastery still matters.

If a zombie is assigned and nothing starts, check the worker's own Mastery and equipment.

See How Zombies Work.

What should you craft first?

A practical priority is:

  1. whichever Mastery kit removes your current blocker;

  2. replacement Bronze Zombie Collars if the free supply is running low;

  3. a Book Writing talisman if writing is blocked;

  4. higher tiers as Iron, Steel and Gold become available.

You do not need one of every shiny recipe immediately.

FAQ

Where is the Jewelry Table built?

In the writing room beneath your house.

What technology unlocks it?

Delicate Work.

Why can't I find it in the tower laboratory?

Because it is not a laboratory building. Use the writing-room construction interface.

Where are Zombie Collars crafted?

At the Jewelry Table after the relevant Reanimation recipe is unlocked.

Where is the Butcher's Kit made?

At the Jewelry Table.

Why is my kit recipe grey?

Check Smithing Mastery and materials. The equipment may boost another branch, but the craft itself is often a Smithing job.
